For his part, Governor Diego Sinhue Rodríguez Vallejo recalled the damage caused by the pandemic. Therefore, after only two years, an in-person event can now be held.

He recalled that in 2019, issues such as the lack of gasoline, the increase in insecurity and the economic blow, among others, affected the industry . However, two years after this scenario, he highlighted that crimes were reduced by 48%. Likewise, the state's economic growth would show improvements.

In his speech, Diego Sinhue highlighted the actions of his government and although he recalled that there is an electoral ban, he said: “don't worry, I'm not going to be a candidate for anything.” He went on to explain that all businessmen, citizens, political parties and the federation work in coordination.

“When I took office, I said: 'There will be difficult times and I will not leave you alone.' That is why I ask you not to leave me alone and you have not done so.”

Rodríguez Vallejo emphasized that Guanajuato has been taking advantage of all opportunities to attract investments. The pandemic brought adversities, but also opportunities.

Thus, under this scenario, businessmen and authorities gave the initial launch to the 86th edition of SAPICA 2022. In this, the economic projections are favorable for the sector and predict times of change and growth.
